Terms of Service

Last updated 2 October 2026.

1. Who these terms are with

scatterpost is operated by Luminous Emporium Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales with registered office at 124-128 City Road, London, United Kingdom, EC1V 2NX and company number 16201976 ("we", "us"). These terms are between us and the business that holds the scatterpost account ("you", "your"). This is a business-to-business agreement. scatterpost is sold for use in the course of a business, and these terms are not a consumer contract. You confirm that you are entering into these terms for purposes related to your trade, business, craft or profession, and not as a consumer. If that is not correct, you must not create an account.

2. The service

scatterpost lets you draft, publish and cross-post content from your own account, through the dashboard and through the MCP server, to the platforms you connect. Features and limits differ by plan, as set out on the pricing page, and may change with notice given through the dashboard or by email.

3. Early access

From time to time we run an early-access programme under which the Pro plan is included at no charge for a fixed period of 60 days from the date a workspace is created, for a limited number of places, with the number of places left shown on the early-access page on our website. One place is available per person, applied to the first workspace that person creates. We do not take payment details for the included period, and nothing is charged unless you later choose to subscribe.

At the end of the included period, a workspace that has not taken out a subscription moves to the Free plan. Your content, connections and settings are kept, and the limits of the Free plan apply from that point. Connections and content above those limits stay in your workspace, but you will not be able to add more or use Pro-only features until you subscribe. We will email the workspace owner before the included period ends.

We may change, pause or end the early-access programme, or the included period offered to workspaces that have not yet joined it, at any time. A workspace already in the programme keeps the included period it was given.

Features made available through early access are pre-release: they may change, be withdrawn, or contain faults, and are provided as they are. For pre-release features we do not promise that they will work without faults, be available at all times, or be kept in their current form, and we exclude any term implied by law about their quality or fitness for a purpose, so far as the law allows. Section 7 applies to them as it does to the rest of the service. We may use feedback and bug reports you give us to improve the service, without any obligation to you. Nothing in this section limits section 7 or any right that cannot be excluded by law.

4. Subscriptions and cancellation

Paid plans are billed monthly or annually in advance through Stripe. You can cancel at any time from billing settings or the Stripe customer portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and we do not give refunds for the unused part of a period, except where required by law or where we agree otherwise in writing. If a payment fails, we may suspend access to paid features until it is resolved.

5. Acceptable use

You are responsible for complying with the terms of service of every platform you connect through scatterpost, including Dev.to, Hashnode, LinkedIn, Bluesky and Mastodon. You must not use scatterpost to automate any platform outside that platform's own published API, and you must not use scatterpost to publish content that infringes another party's rights, is unlawful, or breaches a connected platform's content policies. We may suspend a connection or an account where we reasonably believe this term has been breached, including where a connected platform reports abuse.

6. Your content

You own the content you create and publish through scatterpost. You grant us a licence to store, process and transmit it as needed to provide the service, including sending it to the platforms you connect.

7. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under English law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Subject to that, our total liability to you arising out of or in connection with these terms, however it arises, is capped at the greater of the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim and one hundred pounds sterling. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for any act or decision of a connected platform, including a platform's decision to remove content, suspend an account, or change its API.

8. Termination

Either party may terminate for the other's material breach that is not remedied within 14 days of written notice. On termination, we will delete your workspace data within a reasonable period, subject to any retention required by law.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
